Green Point Stadium Almost Done

I've been following the progress of the Green Point Stadium thanks to Cape Town 2010. It is 94% complete and looking pretty awesome.

The City of Cape Town is also working hard to meet the environmental standards required by FIFA for the 2010 World Cup. One such initiative is the Cape Town Green Map.This map indicates "green" places all over the peninsula, you will find nature reserves, waste drop off points, environmental societies, organic markets, etc.

What an awesome party Earthdance turned out to be this past weekend. Not even a bit of rain Saturday night could deter party goers. There was a big selection of music genres to choose from with the Psy Trance stage being the most popular. At the pool you had drum 'n bass and a hundred meters down the road you could enjoy the sounds of Zebra & Giraffe, 340mls, The Real Estate Agents, Lapse, etc...

Paul Reubens, a.k.a. "Pee Wee Herman", was arrested July 26 1991 for jerking off at the South Trail Cinema, an XXX theater. Reubens paid a $50 fine and did some community service. Reubens turned himself in on November 15, 2002, and was charged with possession of obscene material improperly depicting a child under the age of 18 in sexual conduct. He was released on $20,000 bail and faced a maximum sentence of one year in prison and a $2,500 fine but on March 19, 2004, child pornography charges against him were dropped after Reubens pleaded guilty to possessing obscene images of minors so as to avoid going to court and risking jail.

Brandon Huntley - Con Artist Of Note

Not only did Brandon Huntley get refugee status in Canada on some pretty lame terms but it turns out that he is of mixed race.
He got refugee status on terms of being a victim of racial crimes, claiming to being stabbed 7 times by black people as a white man.
Well it turns out he is from a coloured background according to reports from Pretoria News http://bit.ly/2tTB4D. Even his Canadian wife is filing for divorce after receiving many messages on Facebook about our wonderful country. Now when this story came out I immediately knew this guy is just doing what he has to to stay in Canada, I almost admired his creativity, but now I only see him as a major hypocrite.

Every blogger's aspiration is to have an entertaining or informative blog, but usually it turns out pretty mediocre...and sadly mine is starting in a very mediocre fashion. As I'm improving the the look and feel of my blog and try to figure out what to pen down, hopefully, it will become somewhat informative and very entertaining.

I am Jannie Loper, I have a reputation for taking the odd stroll to my flat in Vredehoek, albeit it from La Med in Camps Bay or some dodgy spot in Woodstock. But more about that on another day...
